Ready to Go!
We’re packed and ready to head out for our next great adventure. Our first flight leaves at 6:03 tomorrow morning and we won’t be home until November 18. It has been five years since we have undertaken a trip of this magnitude and it doesn’t seem like it is getting any easier as we age.

Fortunately we will see some familiar faces along the
way. First we start the trip with Nephew
Patrick, his lovely wife Nina and their beautiful little girl Thilde at their
home in Stavanger Norway. They get to
deal with our first couple days of jet lag.
Then we meet up with sister Pat in Helsinki for the following two
weeks. Somewhere in there we all get
together with friends Jeffrey and Jacque in Krakow.
Then we’re on our own for the last 7 weeks of this
adventure. Stay with us if we’re not too
boring and comment when you can. Kind
words from friends and family are always welcome. They make us feel like we’re close to those
we love.
Here we go!
Good reminder to fly direct when possible. Thanks for the info on the Canadian border hassle. I had a similar experience getting back into the US through Charlotte this summer coming back from London. Ended up with a long delay after missing the connection and couldn't get access to my bags in time to catch an earlier flight.
ReplyDeleteAnd interesting insight on the "double prices" in Norway. I never thought of going to U.S. restaurants, especially fast food, as a financial burden. It certainly is there. - Marc L.
